Ruth’s first overseas trip was “an odyssey” when she travelled around the world as a young teen with her family. Buying a car and travelling through Germany and spending Christmas European style in a pension in Vienna were a couple of highlights and she believes this trip influenced her life in so many ways . It has given Ruth a passion for getting to the cultural heart of a destination. “Thank you mum and dad for dragging me off to the opera in Vienna! I now adore music and it’s one of the things I always try to fit in on a trip for myself and my clients.”

Ruth has specialised in travel to Italy for many years, and she personally took small groups into hilltop regions for culinary and art explorations. She still travels to Italy regularly and has many favourite experiences that she likes to share with her clients!

Ruth’s new areas of expertise are Spain and Portugal – fabulous, culturally rich destinations that she believes reward the traveller!

Ruth regularly travels to seek out special spots, be they hotels, restaurants, galleries and lesser known areas in the famous cities throughout Europe, and she work hard at discovering the less traveled parts.

Ruth has two university post-graduate degrees and for her it is of importance to research and apply this to her work in the travel industry.
